Each year IHA sponsors 3 Gymkhana shows at the Bohemia Equestrian Center in which riders of all ages can participate and race against the clock for year end awards! We have a division for everyone…

Please refer to this years Prize Book located at the bottom of the page for a few changes that have been made to this years show season.
All gymkhana entries will be done electronically through Google Docs. In order to complete your entry you will also be required to fill out the IHA Liability Release.

PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THE PRIZE BOOK BEFORE YOUR FIRST SHOW. THERE HAVE BEEN MULTIPLE CHANGES MADE INCLUDING END OF YEAR AWARDS QUALIFICATIONS.

• Each show will have a theme…
April “Spring Shakedown”- dress to impress with your best bling!
June “Tropical Luau Slammer”- wear your best luau attire.
July “Rein, White & Blue Sizzler”- wear your best patriot colors.
•Drop down to 5 classes for the Adult, Junior & Full Pint divisions: Cloverleaf, Speed Barrels, Dash, Pole Bending, Quads.
•Half Pint divisions will be run in another arena beginning at 8:30a.
•Adding to leadline division that riders CANNOT canter.
•Removing from Beginner description “showing at jackpots and placing in the open 3D or higher". Adding: "open to rider’s who are in their first or second year showing". Remainder of class description to stay the same.
•Increasing entry fees for Adult, Junior & Full Pint divisions: member pre entry $12/class, non member pre entry $15/class, all post entries $20/class.
•End of Year Requirement changes:
To be eligible for the HP Overall Grand & Reserve Champion (saddle/buckle), rider must attend all 3 shows and participate in all 5 pointed classes.
To be eligible for Division awards and Fastest Time Awards, rider must participate in 4 out of the 5 pointed classes at 2 out of the 3 shows.
In addition, this season we will be hosting a Pole Bending & Quads Jackpot on April 21. This is a great opportunity for you to try quads before the first show. Details to follow when prize book is finalized.
We will also be hosting 2 Pole Bending Jackpots in conjunction with NBHA barrel shows on August 25th & Sept 14th.
